UPSC NDA II Re Open Online Form 2021 Only for Women

In compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India’s interim direction permitting women candidates to take part in the National Defence
Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2021 by its order dated 18/08/2021 in WP (C). No.1416/2020 filed by Kush Kalra Vs. UoI & Others, the Union Public Service Commission has decided to open the online portal of application on its website (upsconline.nic.in) for this Examination to enable the unmarried women candidates ONLY, who are otherwise eligible in terms of nationality, age, marital status, educational qualification, etc. as per the Notice for the said Examination (No. 10/2021-NDA-II), which was published on 09/06/2021 and is currently available on the Commission’s website. Below are some important dates for NDA 2021 Exam:

Important Dates for UPSC NDA & NA (2) 2021 Exam (For Male Candidates Till the Next Notice)
UPSC NDA Online Applications Opening & Closing Date (For Male Candidates) 9th June 2021 to 29th June 2021
Withdrawal of Application Form (For Male Candidates) 6th to 12th July 2021
UPSC NDA Online Applications Opening & Closing Date (For Female Candidates)

Note: Women candidates are not required to pay fee for their application for this Examination

24th September to 8th October 2021 (Till 6:00 PM)

So let’s look at the prospective eligibility norms including age, upper age limit, educational qualification(s), Physical Standards, and Medical Standards for female candidates:

Age Limit & Marital Status

Unmarried female candidates will be eligible to apply between the below age group:

Age Limit Age (years)
Minimum Age 16.5 years during the commencement of the course
Maximum Age 19.5 years during the commencement of the course

Educational Qualifications

NDA & NA Educational Qualification
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
